The Crawley News is set to become a daily source of breaking news and sport after launching its new website.

The Sussex title has branched out into the world of cyberspace by setting up its new site, thisiscrawley.co.uk.

The site is being updated daily to bring Crawley residents the very latest news from their neck of the woods.

There will be regular updates from the town's football club, a dedicated school's section and a chance for readers to have their say on the big issues affecting the town.

The website will also be used to support the paper's campaign to raise money for the local hospice.

Content editor Glenn Ebrey said: "It doesn't matter if you are in Stuttgart or San Diego, Rochdale or Rio De Janeiro, you will be able to access all the very latest news from your part of Crawley at the click of a mouse.

"We will still go through the door in the traditional way every Wednesday but the website means we can bring our readers news from the town on a daily basis."
