The Liverpool Daily Post is to launch its bi-monthly glossy business magazine on Wednesday February 27, the company has announced.
The launch will include an online social networking forum for the Merseyside business community at the end of next month.
Aimed at intermediate to senior professionals, the first edition of 100-page LDP Business will hit the streets with 20,000 free copies.
They will be distributed with the free edition of the Post from city centre pick-up points, and through mail home delivery to readers.
Covering local business and economic issues, the A4-size magazine will contain news, features and a profile of a prominent member of the Merseyside business community in each issue.
Property, mergers and acquisitions, corporate law and international trade will all feature in separate sections.
Business editor Bill Gleeson said: "There's a feeling that there's a robust enough advertising market out there to be tapped and LDP Business is another way of doing just that."
The launch edition will feature in-depth analysis of the economic effects of the city, which is hosting an extensive programme of events through the year, being named European Capital of Culture 2008.
LDP Business will be complemented by the Business Club social networking website for the Merseyside business community which will be unveiled as one of a series of enrichments to the Post's online business section.
