Journalist Louise Isaacs is heading for Deep South – to join a public relations agency that has doubled in size in two years.
Louise, who was the Bournemouth Daily Echo's education correspondent, has taken a new job with her old boss, former Daily Echo editor Gareth Weekes.
Deep South Media is celebrating ten years in business with a surge in new clients and Gareth says he is building "a formidable team of PR account directors".
Louise is the fourth journalist to join Deep South in 28 months, since former business editor Andrew Diprose arrived to start a new PR division. He was followed by another ex-Newsquest business editor, Ron Wain, and a former chief reporter, Jenna Weekes.
The company has nearly 40 clients across the south, mostly in Bournemouth and Southampton.
"We are recruiting only top class regional daily newspaper journalists and they work very, very hard for their clients," said Gareth.
Louise said: "It's great to be working with former colleagues and using my knowledge and contacts on the other side of the fence."
