|Employer:||Telegraph & Argus|
|Employment Type:||Full time|
Are you a sharp, self-starting experienced reporter who loves variety and can turn his or her hand to any breaking news story?
The Telegraph & Argus needs a fully-trained and established senior to fill the role of Senior Reporter.
You will be responsible for covering everything from protest rallies to car crashes to house fires to murders to.... well, just about anything!
You will thrive on the pressure of turning round big stories to deadline while simultaneously updating our website with words, pictures and video, running live blogs as required and using social media and other digital tools to crowd-source supporting content and promote our coverage.
It’s an exciting, demanding job for someone who just loves to break news and the rewards are commensurate with the responsibility.
You must be fully-trained to NCTJ standards and you must have worked as a senior reporter on a daily paper or paid-for weekly for at least two years. Some newsdesk experience would be beneficial. You’ll also need a clean, full driving licence and your own vehicle.
Bradford is one of the friendliest and most fascinating cities in Britain, with a mix of cultures and communities that is never less than vibrant. It is the big, bustling heart of a district of more than 500,000 people which is two-thirds rural and the gateway to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Packed with Victorian architecture and thousands of listed buildings, it is undergoing a major regeneration process with a newly-built £25m city park and a recently-opened £300m shopping centre.
