Multimedia Reporter - Watford, St Albans and north London
Newsquest London is looking for an ambitious reporter to join the Watford Observer, St Albans Review and north London Times Series.
You will already have a full set of NCTJ qualifications, including 100 wpm shorthand; we will give you a laptop and a mobile phone.
Are you ready to you upload punchy, accurate copy direct to our websites from anywhere in our patch? Can you take photos and video to make your story come alive for readers, and use social media to help it reach the widest possible audience?
We want a reporter who is confident enough to ask difficult questions and compete for the front page in a lively, often political patch, but who can turn their hand to a sensitive human interest story and knows the importance of building grassroots contacts.
This might be you first job, or you may be looking to take a step up to a respected paper in a busy patch. If you are eager to learn you will receive the support and training to prepare you for your NQJ senior examinations.
If you can do all this, email a copy of your CV and a covering letter to content editor Robert Collins at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please mention HoldtheFrontPage when applying for this role. This advert will expire on Monday 1st May 2017.
