Job Description is the first 24/7, fan-led resource for the Capital’s clubs. Shining a light on the issues supporters truly care about, providing rolling coverage of the latest news and creatively telling stories through a variety of platforms, is one of the fastest growing digital sports brands in the UK.

Role Responsibility

Manage a talented team of journalists and digital producers create, implement and manage the editorial strategy of the site.

Identify new opportunities for growth and development for, particularly around digital sports content, emerging platforms and opportunities for revenue growth.

Work collaboratively with stakeholders from across the company produce outstanding multi-platform content across a number of different channels.

Have a strong understanding of audience analytics, data and insight platforms.

Manage the coverage of major stories, breaking news and content that will make fans remember the site.

Be a forward-facing advocate of the site, working both internally and externally to grow brand awareness.

Help to develop all members of the team.

Maximise opportunities for audience engagement and interaction.

Organise and oversee a fast-paced digital desk.

Ensure all work at all times conforms to Trinity Mirror policies and procedures.

Work closely with the Head of Digital Sport to formulate innovative digital strategies.

The Ideal Candidate

The highest journalistic standards.

Experience of managing a digital-first desk.

A proven track record of growing and cultivating large digital audiences.

A creative approach to content creation and production.

Passion and ideas for digital sports content.

An understanding of what footballers supporters crave.

Expert knowledge of audience analytics and insight platforms such as Adobe Omniture.
