Deputy Features Editor/Senior Features Writer

SWNS, Britain’s biggest national news agency group, is looking for a Deputy Features Editor or Senior Features Writer to join our award-winning team.
Applications are welcome from established journalists with a minimum of one to two years news agency, magazine or local newspaper experience.
The responsibilities of the role include sourcing, pitching and writing real life stories for the women's magazines and newspaper feature sections, as well as working alongside TV programmes including This Morning and Good Morning Britain.
The successful candidate will be maximising our existing content, developing their own exclusive material and managing relationships with clients and publishers.
Alongside the Features Editor, they will be responsible for overseeing and managing the features team.
We ask that candidates have NCTJ qualifications or similar, 100wpm shorthand, a clean driving licence and their own car.
A sense of humour will also be an asset, as will an obsession with grammar and an eye for a good pun.
Applicants will need to be able to spot a good story, have creative flair and a fierce competitive edge.
They will live and breathe the Mail Online, the Sun and other tabloids, and be familiar with the real life women's magazines including Take a Break, Closer, Chat, Pick Me Up, Bella and Woman's Own among others.
Candidates will also have a brimming portfolio of published real life features.
