Bloomers and bloopers on the printed page can haunt journalists for weeks (well, hours).
But miscues and out-takes from the growing video journalism sector never make it to the computer screen.
Until now.
Video news staff at the News Shopper in London have committed their errors and out-takes to a special report.
And it’s proving popular viewing.
Reporter Alison White said: "Myself and another colleague took part in video training in September last year.
"I have been working hard to produce video clips for the web on a number of topics and have filmed everything from pantomime launches to Christmas trees being shredded and a memorial for a mother stabbed 45 times.
"Along the way there have been many out-takes and bloopers.
"Everyone in the office joked that I should make my own out-take video so I decided to do it. I sifted through hours of raw footage to compile a short, humourous, out-takes video. I also used the opportunity to talk about News Shopper's plans for the future of video and what it offers readers."

News Shopper is putting a huge emphasis on getting breaking news onto the web as it happens.
Readers can now log on to find out first what is happening in south east London and north Kent.
Alison said: "Our award-winning website already boasts a forum, blogs and comment sections, allowing our readers to enjoy an interactive relationship with their favourite local newspaper.
"Video will play a big part in our coverage, with pictures from the scene available on the web almost instantly thanks to our own advanced video phone."
