Twitchers in the dark as tits release fails to get through

North Wales Evening Leader chief photographer Simon Williams-Tully took this shot of the Liverpool Half Marathon, when the lead runner was almost taken out by a group of people crossing the road, despite onlookers shouting "watch out!".
The runner narrowly missed the collision and went on to win the race.


And with the opening date of the new Wembley further in doubt, this Lake District pitch is being lined up for England's remaining pre-World Cup friendlies.
