The name of a youth who was handed Grimsby's first anti-social behaviour order has been revealed in the press thanks to a legal challenge from the Evening Telegraph.

Magistrates ruled it would be in the public interest to identify him, and told the young offender: "We are not going to impose a section 39 order banning your identification.

"We feel that the public should know and have some knowledge and be protected by the terms of the interim order."

A full hearing will take place next month but in the meantime, an interim order prevents the 14-year-old from using or engaging in any abusive, insulting, offensive, threatening or intimidating language or behaviour in any public place in North East Lincolnshire."
