Guardian takes care of New Life as it smashes appeal target

The Sutton and Epsom Guardian has smashed its target to raise £52,000 for the neo-natal unit at St Helier Hospital.

The paper launched the New Life appeal last year to raise money to buy new equipment to help care for premature babies, and since then readers have donated cash and held fundraising events to help reach the target.
