The Cambridge Evening News has taken its calls for free bus travel across Cambridgeshire for over 60s and the disabled to 10 Downing Street.
Editor Murray Morse travelled to London to deliver a campaign petition signed by 10,560 readers to the Prime Minister's front door.
The move was the first time the Evening News had taken a campaign direct to Number 10.

The paper launched the On The Buses campaign in April after OAPs complained that the Government's promise of "free" travel was costing them more to get to vital services such as doctors, post offices and shops.
The scheme only applies within council districts, so people in South Cambridgeshire have to pay to travel to towns and cities such as Cambridge and Ely.
Editor Murray said: "There can be no doubt that our readers are outraged that pensioners are not getting the free fares thay are entitled to.
"To get more than 10,000 signatures in such a short space of time shows that we have hit a real chord with our readers.
"However, the delivery of this petition to the Prime Minister at No 10 is just the latest step in our campaign and we will not rest until we have secured for our readers what is rightfully theirs."
