A successful campaign to encourage firms in Leicestershire to let their staff fall silent for two minutes to honour the people who died for their country has been launched this year on the Internet.
Businesses are joining the Mercury's roll of honour in the 11-11-11 campaign.

The Mercury's campaign has been running for the past three years and has led to a record number of businesses, organisations and individuals taking part.
It marks the moment the guns fell silent on Armistice Day, November 11, and this year will encourage shops, offices and public areas to take part.
Some 45m people stand silent throughout the country to pay their respects.
The campaign's web presence, at thisisleicestershire.co.uk, includes:
a message about 11-11-11, a news archive of stories from the Mercury, a roll of honour of companies pledging their support, a diary of services, events and parades to mark Remembrance Day, a form for companies and individuals to sign the 11-11-11 pledge, a bulletin board to discuss thoughts and issues surrounding November 11, links to the websites for the Royal British Legion and the Poppy Appeal.Back to the campaigns index
