The Eastern Daily Press has launched a £200,000 appeal to build a new breast cancer unit in Norfolk.
The newspaper says that breast cancer facilities at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn are too cramped for the rapidly growing number of patients who use them.
They are also currently spread across the hospital, and the paper is aiming to raise enough cash for a new dedicated, purpose-built unit.
The appeal has already been given the backing of actress Claire Goose (left), and to coincide with the launch she told of her own breast cancer scare.
She said: "Having experienced something similar myself, I can understand how important it will be to have this unit set up.
"Having the practical and compassionate help under one roof is absolutely vital."
Once built, the new facility will have three new consulting rooms, a counselling area, waiting room, separate X-ray facilities and changing rooms.
