The Newspaper Society has announced that regional press titles are now able to enter one of their awards schemes.

Categories in the 2008 Circulation, Editorial and Promotions Awards include Promotional Campaign of the Year, Scoop of the Year and Regional Newspaper of the Year.

The society says it wants to reward industry excellence in the field of circulation initiatives, editorial content and promotional executions.

All paid-for regional press titles who are members of the Newspaper Society are eligible to enter.

Deadline for entries is February 15 and the awards ceremony is on April 3.
