York University's Nouse has been named Best Student Newspaper at the NUS/Daily Mirror National Student Journalism Awards.
The award was one of more than a dozen handed out by Big Brother star Kate Lawler at The Marriott Hotel, West India Quay, during a ceremony on Saturday.
Leeds University also had a successful night, scooping Best Student Magazine for Lippy, as well as individual student awards for Best Student Reporter and Best Student Investigative Journalism - both won by Jessica Salter - and Best Student Feature Writer and Best Student Critic.

NUS national secretary Gemma Tumelty said: "I'd like to congratulate all the winners and wish them all the best for their future career in journalism.
"We were overwhelmed by the entries we received this year so all the students who made the shortlist can be rightly proud after beating such stiff competition."
