The shortlist for this year's Guardian Student Media Awards has been announced.

Budding journalists will fight it out in 13 categories later this year, and among them will be the staff of the University of York's York Vision, which has won the Student Newspaper of the Year title for the past three years.

Also among the nominees is Clara Molden from Norton College, Sheffield, who won the Student Award at the Picture Editors' Awards earlier this year and is also the current Times/Tabasco Photographer of the Year.

Winners will be announced during a ceremony in London on November 2.

Prizes include work experience at The Guardian and Sky News and return flights to an easyJet destination.
