The Reading Evening Post has been named Regional Newspaper of the Year for the second year running at a competition celebrating excellence in newspaper production.
The evening newspaper was one of a host of regional titles recognised at the 2004 Newspaper Awards, which saw them competing against their national rivals.
The Oxford Times was also a big winner, scooping the award for Regional Weekly Newspaper of the Year.
Glasgow-based The Herald won the top prize in the category for Most Outstanding Use of Colour and the Sunday Herald collected the award for Best Weekly Newspaper on the World Wide Web.
