Traditional rivalries were put to one side as journalists from throughout Wiltshire met for the inaugural Wiltshire Media Awards.

The event, organised by the local National Union of Journalists, was open to print, broadcast, public relations and Internet journalists.

The Swindon-based Evening Advertiser topped the list of nominees with 20 of its staff put forward for awards either by their colleagues or members of the public.
