Holiday prize for travel writing

A South Wales Argus journalist has won a prestigious award for her travel writing.

  • Well-travelled Sonia
  • Sonia Wiltshire's articles on Malaysia, published in the Argus holiday pages earlier this year, have earned her the title of Tourism Malaysia's Regional Travel Writer of the Year.

She was presented with her prize - a week's holiday in Malaysia and a trophy - at a reception held at London's Royal Lancaster Hotel.

Sonia, a design sub-editor, said: "I'm thrilled to win and delighted to be going back to such a beautiful country."
