Awards website re-launched

The BT Media Awards Website, dedicated to BT's annual award scheme for regional journalists, has been re-launched.

The website includes everything entrants need to know, such as details of the competition's 14 categories and its seven regional areas.

It also allows local and regional journalists, broadcasters and photographers to download an entry form or, in some categories, enter the contest online.

Visitors to the site will be able to keep
up-to-date with all the latest news about the awards, including who has made the shortlist. When the prizes are handed out the winners will be announced on the site immediately after each ceremony.

The site also contains a news archive section, where readers can look back to last year's competition and read a full list of winners.

This is the seventh year that BT has sponsored the UK-wide award scheme, which receives more than 2,000 entries each year.

Entries for this year's competition are now being received, and the closing date is Monday, January 21, 2002.
