Weekly Newspaper Awards - nominations announced

The nominations for the Newspaper Society's Weekly Newspaper Awards 2001 have been announced.

The competition, open to all paid-for and free weekly newspapers in the UK in current membership of Newspaper Society marketing, is designed to recognise outstanding journalism, photography, advertising and innovation.

The winners will be announced at the Weekly Newspaper Awards dinner at the Royal York Hotel in York on Wednesday, 17 October.

  • Free newspapers: Luton Herald & Post; Milton Keynes Citizen; Times & Citizen
