The category of Best internet site produced by a daily newspaper in the Newspaper Society 2000 New Media Awards was won by belfasttelegraph.co.uk.

Judges said the winner demonstrates great depth of content and provide numerous interactive features ensuring it remains at the forefront of technological development.

This winner was also chosen as the overall Internet site of the year.
