Television News Broadcaster of the Year:
Winner: Matthew Hill, BBC News West
Highly Commended: Steve Brodie, BBC News West; Alison Delaney, HTV West and James Garrett, HTV West

Last year's champion, BBC West's health correspondent Matthew Hill, won for his third time in five years. Judges said Matthew, who is currently on assignment to BBC Newsnight in London, "has made a habit of coming up with stories that have huge national impact. For the second year running one of his reports has forced the Government into launching an enquiry.
"His disclosure that the UK Transplant Unit had accepted a donated kidney on the condition that it could only go to a white family caused shockwaves nationally as did his revelations that children with ME were being locked in psychriatric units."
The judges were so impressed with the overall calibre of entries that they decided to award three rather than the usual two runners-up prizes. These went to Steve Brodie, also of BBC News West, and to HTV West's Alison Delaney along with its head of current affairs James Garrett.
