An announcement by the NCTJ reads: “The key themes of quality journalism and innovation will run through the conference sessions. We’ll be looking at digital skills and new technology, professional development and standards, employability and careers.

“There will be plenty of practical new ideas to share and different skills to learn.

“The growing role of social media as a distribution channel for content continues to demand a broader range of journalism skills and raises important questions we’ll be debating about trust and ethics.”

The awards are open for entries until 15 September.

Anyone wishing to book a place at the conference can do so here.
