Three more ex-Local World dailies move to monthly ABCes

ABClogo-e1424873874120Three more former Local World titles have published monthly digital audience figures for the first time as part of Trinity Mirror’s regular ABCe updates.

Monthly web statistics are now being published for the Cambridge News, Grimsby Telegraph and South Wales Evening Post.

The figures reveal the trio’s daily average number of web browsers, along with their social media statistics.

TM began publishing monthly digital statistics for former Local World titles the Hull Daily Mail, Leicester Mercury and The Sentinel, Stoke, in August.

This month’s statistics revealed the website of Southport-based weekly The Visiter had the greatest year-on-year increase, with its 13,912 average unique browsers accounting for a 50.97 rise.

And, sadly, all of it totally meaningless unless you print the print sales figures as well. Even an old fart like me has had Facebook likes from time to time but they’ve never earned me a penny – and the same goes here I’m afraid.

But what does it all mean?
    Lies, damn lies and statistics.
To me the only statistic that matters is the constant culling of the staff that remain. That tells its own story, no matter how TM tries to show how well it is doing.
