Publisher launches new tool to buy online advertising space

Craig NAymanA new tool which allows advertisers to buy digital ad space for specific titles has been built by a regional publisher.

Archant has announced the launch of GoTarget Display, which allows the company’s customers to put their messages “in front of the most relevant local audience”.

The product allows advertisers to reach more specific targeted audiences, both on the Archant network and elsewhere.

Clients so far include the University of Suffolk, Bang & Olufsen and Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association.

Archant’s chief commercial officer Craig Nayman, pictured, said: “As part of our journey to become the best local media company in the UK, we are committed to delivering best in class commercial solutions, with our audiences at the heart of what we do.

“GoTarget is proof of our desire to continuously adapt this offering to meet the changing needs of our customers, allowing them to benefit from the unrivalled relationship we have with our highly engaged audiences as we sit in the heart of the communities we serve.”

Will Hattam, the company’s chief marketing officer, added: “GoTarget answers a strong need from customers for a simple and smart display advertising proposition.

“It demonstrates our commitment to digital innovation and ensures we are offering SMEs access to the cutting edge targeting methodologies and technology that can really help their businesses thrive.”

Corporate robo-speak at its best. These two should get a room.

Presumably they dont have one now then?
Could be the answer to why the ad sales figures are so bad then

    Lovely
But in words we can all understand , what is it?and what does it actually do??

By offering ” best in class commercial solutions”
One assumes this is the answer to attracting local businesses and grabbing back the thousands of lost ones?

And if there is “…a strong need from customers for a simple and smart display advertising proposition” this will surely herald greatly increased commercial advertising revenues of which mr Nyman can take full responsibility presumably?
So many questions and all very ‘exciting’

I too havent a clue what this is or does so its a relief to hear others equally confused, but if this is some kind of online booking facility it may herald the end of ad sales reps as we know them ?
and would do away with dealing with ad agencies and buying agencies too?
Good costs savings to be had there if so
