A football fan had a narrow escape after pledging to get a regional daily journalist’s name tattooed on his rear end if his team beat relegation.
Blackpool FC supporter Harley McGowan had threatened to get the name of Will Watt, football writer at resort newspaper The Gazette, inked on his body if the club avoided the drop.
Thankfully, he was not forced to make good the pledge after Sunday’s match away at Peterborough United ended in a 5-1 defeat for Blackpool.
Will took the pledge in good humour, urging Gazette readers to screenshot a tweet of Mr McGowan’s promise prior to the game.
Its HARLEY!!! God damn it
