Agency bolsters editorial team ahead of busy sporting summer

A national sports news agency has made four additions to its editorial team ahead of what is expected to be a busy sporting summer.

Sportsbeat, based in London and Manchester, provides copy for national and regional print and broadcast media as well as a number of sporting governing bodies.

News reporters Phil Jones of the Southend Echo and Andrew Lawton of the Swindon Advertiser have now joined the organisation as senior reporters.

And Katie Falkingham has been appointed as a reporter after graduating from the award-winning NCTJ Diploma in Sports Journalism course the agency runs alongside its sister company News Associates.
