Regional publisher appoints its first chief marketing officer

Will HAttamA regional newspaper publisher has appointed its first ever chief marketing officer.

Will Hattam, pictured left,  has been given the post by Archant after more than three years with the company.

Prior to joining Archant, Will was the managing director of Bauer Media’s Motorcycling Division for four years and also spent nine years with Trinity Mirror where he held a number of senior roles including marketing director of national newspapers.

He has also served as MD of Archant Lifestyle and Archant London.

Said Will: “I’m delighted to have been appointed Chief Marketing Officer following three great years here.

“I’m looking forward to the challenge of the new role and continuing to ensure everything we do inspires communities – it’s a very exciting time to be part of the team.”

Archan chief executive Jeff Henry said: “I’m pleased to announce Will’s promotion as the company continues to establish new ways of working together as One Archant.

“Will’s role will ensure Archant have the most effective and innovative marketing routes and products to engage with our audiences.

“He brings a wealth of experience and achievements with him and I’m sure he will be invaluable in the new role.”

    Just the man to take a few pics, interview a councillor and chip in with some astute subbing then. Good luck to Will.

    Who told him ‘ everything we do inspires communities’?
    Soon as he speaks to us on the shop floor and the ex readers and Ex adverisers in the communities and he will soon find out ‘ inspiring’ isn’t a word he will hear in the same sentence as Archant
    Honestly, do we really need another top floor chief on a high salary? We are overloaded with management who are managing to de motivate us enough as it is already
    Talk about missing the point
