Newspapers launch sticker book to celebrate dragon art trail

Two sister regional dailies have launched a charity sticker album to mark the launch of an art trail featuring 84 dragons.

The Eastern Daily Press and Norwich Evening News have come up with the 150-sticker book to mark the launch of the GoGoDragons! charity art trail being brought to Norwich this summer.

The art trail has been launched by children’s charity Break and Wild in Art and will see 84 decorated dragons brought to the city.

Editor Nigel Pickover, pictured below, unveiled the sticker book at an event at Norwich Castle, which was created in partnership with the East of England Co-op and the GoGoDragons! team and will raise funds for Break.

In a story about the launch of the sticker album, Nigel said: “We are thrilled to have created this sticker album to bring an exciting extra dimension to the GoGoDragons! trail.

“The East of England Co-op are our great friends in the GoGoDragons! crusade and together we hope thousands of people will enjoy collecting the stickers for this album which will lead to significant extra funds for Break.”

The sticker book features all 84 of the dragons and stickers from a similar art project featuring decorated gorillas in 2013, along with quizzes and a trail map.

People can buy the sticker book from participating stores and from the newspaper offices for a cost of £5.

They can then collect the stickers over the next 10 weeks by collecting vouchers printed in each edition of the papers, which can be exchanged for a pack of five stickers, or alternatively people can buy sticker packs for £1.
