Newsagents are set to nominate their regional newspaper of the year ahead of an awards ceremony later this year.

Nominations have now opened for the 12th annual National Federation of Retail Newsagents Awards, with contain a total of 15 different categories.

Other gongs up for grabs include product of the year and innovation of the year.

The awards will be held at the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel, in London, on Tuesday 13 October from 7pm to midnight.
