A journalism student has won a week’s work experience at a national newspaper after gaining the best NCTJ results in his year.

Jamie Crow will spend time at the Mail on Sunday for getting the best results on his NCTJ Diploma in Journalism course at Teesside University.

The NCTJ award was presented to him as part of the university’s 2015 Journalism Awards, where journalism students were praised for exceptional work during the academic year.

Other awards celebrated the skills of those on the BA (Hons) Multimedia Journalism degree course, including news reporter of the year, best feature writer and blogger of the year.
