Ofsted’s inspectors may soon be calling at the offices of the Brighouse Echo, after the Yorkshire weekly mangled the education watchdog’s name on its front page.
In the Echo’s defence, it’s ‘oft said’ to be one of the hardest acronyms to get right, but the error was nonetheless swiftly picked up by rival hyperlocal site Brighouse 24/7.
It’s getting a very petty world, isn’t it?

There but for the grace of Ogd. Ofsted would have trouble finding the Brighouse Echo’s offices though – JP shut them down ages ago.
