Regional daily launches new quarterly business magazine

A new quarterly business magazine has been launched by a North West regional daily.

The Oldham Evening Chronicle has set up the magazine, called Oldham Business Edge, after receiving backing from a number of firms in the town.

Companies partnering the magazine will receive a features and advertising package, but coverage is not restricted to partner businesses.

The first edition, pictured below, covers manufacturing, technology, property, sport-and-leisure, vocational education and housing.

There is also a features on business patrons of the Oldham Coliseum Theatre, leisure activities, the Oldham Business Awards, Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and northern devolution.

It is being distributed to business and professional readers with an initial circulation of 2,500.

The project is being led by Chronicle editor David Whaley, advertising manager Noel McLaughlin and business editor Robbie MacDonald.

Said Noel: “The new magazine will offer a fantastic platform for business-to-business organisations to deliver a positive message across the Oldham business community.”

The print magazine is accompanied by digital activities and could develop further in the future.

Superb stuff, I’ve no doubt it will do brilliantly under Robbie MacDonald’s expert guidance. Great work Robbie.
