A regional daily sports reporter is leaving journalism to set up his own recruitment agency.
Tom Guest, who currently covers Worcester Warriors and Worcestershire CCC for the Worcester News, will be leaving the paper at the end of the month.
Tom is setting up his own recruitment agency after eight years at the Newsquest title.
Other recent job moves in the regional press include the following:
- The Bath Chronicle has appointed Sian David as creative editor. Sian was previously creative editor at South Wales Evening Post.
- Ben Raza has been appointed deputy editor of the Milton Keynes Citizen. Ben previously worked as content editor at the Times & Citizen (Bedfordshire), before 18 months working in PR.
- Laura Redpath has joined the Press and Journal as digital journalist. Based in Aberdeen, Laura will be writing for both the P&J and Energy Voice.
- David Parkinson is joining the Burton Mail as sports content editor. David’s previous newspapers include the Nottingham Post and Derby Telegraph.
- Joel Lamy has been appointed as a reporter at the Peterborough Telegraph.
Well done to Sian. There are quite a few uncreative editors around these days.
