A regional publisher has launched a new parenting magazine with the first issue appearing free inside a number of Scottish titles this week.

The Newsquest-owned Herald & Times Group has launched Family Focus Scotland, with the inaugural edition being inserted into this week’s Sunday Herald.

The magazine will also come free with editions of the group’s other Glasgow titles – the Herald, Evening Times and newly-established daily The National.

According to the Herald & Times the magazine, which will have an initial circulation is 60,000, will be “dedicated to serving families, grandparents, teachers, carers and all those who have an active interest in the well-being of our future generation”.

The magazine, first issue pictured above, will be distributed to health and community centres, doctors’ surgeries, local government public buildings, museums, libraries, leisure and entertainment centres.

Selected cafes, coffee shops and shopping centres will also be targeted.

Editor Joan McFadden said: “We’re covering so many issues and subjects that mean a great deal to our readers.

“Some of it will be light hearted and highly entertaining.

“Some offering helpful hints and tips with some covering very emotive and moving situations.”

Full marks to them for mentioning that they want to serve GRANDPARENTS!
