Regional publisher Archant has announced the appointment of a new editor for a North West lifestyle magazine.

Kate Houghton, pictured, who was previously editor of the Cheshire Magazine,  taking over as editor of Living Edge.

She replaces Janet Reeder, who has moved on to edit sister title the Cheshire Resident.

Living Edge is circulated in parts of Cheshire postcodes and south Manchester, while the Cheshire Resident is a luxury title also operated by Archant Lifestyle.

Kate, who reports to group editor Roger Borrell, has also edited INCheshire and Live Cheshire magazines.

In addition to editing Living Edge, Kate will also become Interiors Editor for Cheshire Life and Cheshire Resident

Roger said: ‘We are delighted to welcome someone with Kate’s proven skills.

“Her appointment as Interiors Editor also reflects the importance we attach to this platform and Kate will be working closely with Cheshire Life editor Louise Taylor and Janet Reeder to help guide further editorial developments in this area.

“These are exciting times in the Cheshire and south Manchester market-place where we now have three very strong titles.”
