A weekly sports editor has moved to a new role as chief reporter at one of its sister titles.

Stephen Pickthall takes up te role at the Johnston Press-owned Chichester Observer.

He was previously sports reporter, and more recently sports editor, at sister JP title the West Sussex County Times.

Other recent regional press job moves include the following:

• Rachel Millard, who covered the New Addington, Coulsdon and Old Coulsdon districts for the Croydon Advertiser, has left the paper.  Andrew Jameson will be taking over her old patch.
• Chris Peddy has joined the Derby Telegraph as a reporter.
• Jack Mathieson has left the Daily Record. He was Edinburgh reporter for the paper.
• Aaron Frank, a reporter at the Rutland & Stamford Mercury, Rutland Times & The Local, has left for a role in PR.
• BPM Media health correspondent Anuji Varma has returned from maternity leave. Anuji works on the Birmingham Mail, Birmingham Post and Sunday Mercury.
• The Wiltshire & Gloucestershire Standard has announced the appointment of Elliot Cass as a reporter.
