Trinity Mirror unveils commercial division rebrand

Regional and national newspaper publisher Trinity Mirror has rebranded its commercial division as Trinity Mirror Solutions following feedback from customers.

The division was previously known as Nasa – National Advertising Sales Agency – but bosses say the name did not resonate with customers.

Chief revenue officer James Wildman told marketing magazine Campaign: “The name Nasa hadn’t really resonated, and frankly we had run out of space jokes.

“We’d rather our unified commercial division does what it says on the tin, and Trinity Mirror Solutions does that.”

Added James:  “Trinity Mirror is a cornerstone of the regional and local press and our compelling proposition offers advertisers valuable engagement with local communities in a highly trusted context.

“TMS will be a lighthouse brand within the market – no other publisher can match our powerful combination of national, regional and digital news brands. We can, and will, work better for advertisers.”

    Spot the cliché !
Mr Wildman should have lessons in plain English. Probably the same person who approved the logo…..by the look of it. Who ever uses the word ‘betterment’ ?
    What nonsense.

Will be a lighthouse brand. Surrounded by fog, stormy seas and wrecks then?
Don’t these people realise they are spouting rubbish! Plain English Please.

The branding, the words, the sentiment. Nothing about this is connecting with us.
