A leading Scottish daily newspaper has launched a new monthly business supplement from today.

thebusiness will be distributed as part of The Press and Journal and is designed to complement the newspaper’s other monthly business-focused supplement, Energy.

The supplement will include regular features on food and drink, tourism, law, finance, IT, life sciences and other industries, as well as monthly columns from three of Scotland’s top businessmen – Martin Gilbert of Aberdeen Asset management, Harvey Aberdein of law firm Aberdein Considine and Alan Savage of Orion Group.

Its editor Ryan Crighton said: “The north and north-east of Scotland is an economic powerhouse and of great importance to both the Scottish and UK economies. This supplement is aimed at the diverse business community in this area that may not be directly involved in oil and gas and the renewables sector.”
