A regional publisher is making a first foray into the children’s gaming magazine market next month.
DC Thomson’s new title, 110% Gaming, is aimed at eight to 12-year-old kids and focuses on multi-platform gaming and entertainment
And the publisher says the title – which will go on sale on Wednesday 15 October – has already attracted key advertisers including Warner Bros and will be stocked in all major retailers.
It will include funny stories, age appropriate video clips, multi-platform gaming reviews, top tips and exclusive covermount giveaways. A number of digital platforms will complement the magazine title; an interactive website with age-appropriate reader content, YouTube channel featuring clips, hints and tips and social media.
Editor Gareth Whelan said: “We’ve taken a completely fresh approach to this title and we believe that it’s unlike anything else in the children’s marketplace.
“Our research showed a gap in the market for an age-appropriate gaming title and we’re confident that 110% Gaming will appeal to kids and to their parents.”
