A regional daily has launched a monthly podcast ahead of the Tour de France coming to the region.

The Yorkshire Post and its sister Johnston Press newspapers in the county have produced the first podcast this month, in the countdown to the world-famous bike race, which begins in Yorkshire in July.

The TourTalk podcast, hosted by Yorkshire Post sports journalist Nick Westby, will be put together each month to bring people the latest news, stories and interviews ahead of the Tour de France.

In the first podcast, an interview with 21-year-old Team Sky cyclist Josh Edmonton is featured, who hopes to be on the starting line in his home city of Leeds.

The first show also sees Sheffield Star cycling correspondent Richard Fidler join host Nick to discuss the chances of the county being represented by a rider in July and the expected tour return of Sir Bradley Wiggins.
