The editor of the official magazine of the National Union of Journalists has been re-elected.

Christine Buckley will retain editorship of The Journalist for a further five years following a ballot of members in which she defeated opponent Tim Dawson by 3,003 votes to 1,712.

Said Christine: “The magazine is very important for keeping busy working journalists in touch with their union.

“I have tried to make it a professional, outward looking publication to engage as many people as possible. I look forward to continuing that.”
