Organisers of the second Asian Media Awards are keen to embrace the changes carved out by the internet

Several new categories are being introduced with a major focus on promoting raw talent with the launch of an Outstanding Young Journalist Award.

Media manager Umbree Ali said: “This year we are looking forward to celebrating new talent and inspiring work from a range of sectors within the industry.”

A finalists’ launch will be held at the headquarters of ITV in London next month with a round table awards ceremony in Manchester in October.
