Weekly launches ‘Route to Work’ campaign

A weekly newspaper has launched a ‘Route to Work’ campaign to help unemployed young adults into jobs through paid apprenticeships.

The Dorking Advertiser is appealing to companies of all sizes to take on an apprentice in a bid to get more young Mole Valley people working.

It launched the scheme after reporting earlier this month that Mole Valley is one of the worst areas in the country to try and join a business as an apprentice.

Figures revealed that Mole Vally businesses took on 10 times fewer new apprentices than the country’s leading district, Richmond, in North Yorkshire, which recorded 3,670.

Companies which take on an apprentice should get in touch with the Advertiser by emailing [email protected].
