Regional publishers tie knot in dating site link-up

Two leading regional publishers have proved the perfect match after sealing a partnership to work together in the dating market.

Newsquest and Johnston Press have announced that Newsquest’s Two’s Company brand will now be featured across JP titles as well.

The deal means the Two’s Company dating service, which is available on multiple platforms including online, phone, text and app, will be featured in 397 regional newspaper titles in total.

Two’s company has been running since 1990 and was initially just available within Newsquest’s newspaper titles but launched its first website in 1997.

Following the launch of the partnership, Johnston Press has already started running Two’s Company adverts in its newspapers and linking to the online service through its websites.

Barry Lester, head of Newsquest phone and dating activities, said: “JP readers have already been making contact with Newsquest’s own Two’s Company members.

“Indeed some have already been out on dates with each other.”
