A large number of UK paid-for weeklies no longer appear in the August ABC figures having opted to be audited annually,.

Their circulation figures will now appear once a year, in February, and will cover the whole of the previous year.

Of those predominantly paid-for titles that opted to continue with six-monthly audits, only two – the Maidenhead Advertiser and the Gravesend and Dartford Messenger – saw their sales increase.
