London website nets deal with basketball stars

A London website team has signed a deal to broadcast matches for the UK’s biggest basketball club.

Archant portal London24.com has joined forces with the London Lions to create the British Basketball League’s first regional media partnership.

The community website will also provide exclusive inside coverage of the London Lions, their games, giveaways and special competitions for the city’s growing number of basketball fans.

Steve Fenton, Archant London’s head of marketing, said: “Partnering with the London Lions brings many benefits including brand exposure and exclusive quality content to our audience.

The agreement includes on-air broadcasting, online and in print coverage across Archant London’s portfolio of local titles.

London24.com will host a range of unique competitions to win a number of prizes from VIP courtside box seat tickets to a full coaching session with the team at the Copper Box Arena, the Lions’ new home at the Olympic Park.
