Writing prize named after journalist of half a century

A writing prize has been launched in memory of a Scottish journalist who died two years ago.

Jim Dow, former commercial property editor for The Scotsman, died aged 71 after a career spanning more than half a century.

Now the Jim Dow Prize for Writing has been established by property consultant CBRE (Scotland) in conjunction with The Scotsman, with the aim of discovering new talent in the commercial property and journalism arenas.

The winning entry will be published by The Scotsman and the closing date for entries is Friday February 17. Full details are available at www.scotsman.com
